The Citation Group features in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for the fourth time
Wilmslow-based leading global compliance specialist, The Citation Group is thrilled to announce that it has been named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work in the UK 2023, marking the fourth time it’s achieved this prestigious recognition since 2015.
Research shows that companies with leading engagement scores, outperform the market across all key measures from quality to safety to customer satisfaction to growth. Around the world 19% of workers are miserable* and low engagement costs the global economy 11% of GDP*. Disengagement has a detrimental impact on life, wider society and health – with those who are miserable at work having low levels of wellbeing and being 23% more likely to visit A&E*.
Engagement has been the foundation of The Citation Group’s global business strategy for more than a decade, so it’s no surprise that they can point to their leading customer retention and impressive growth record over the last 10 years. Their feature in the list – the fourth time they’ve entered and been placed, since 2015 with improved results on each occasion – shows they practice what they preach, putting colleague engagement at the heart of everything they do as the business continues to expand.
The Citation Group’s overall engagement score was 83%, with 91% expressing a good relationship with management. Citation achieved impressive scores across the key drivers of employee engagement and workplace happiness including instilling pride (85%) and job satisfaction and feeling they do something worthwhile (85%).

The Group values its employees and takes the time to invest in them, development is continuous for all colleagues, with over 40% successfully undertaking more formalised programmes in 2022 across a wide range of skills from Health & Safety to HR to commercial and leadership programmes, including its’ Women in Leadership programme.
