Chris joined The Citation Group in 2013 during its acquisition by ECI Partners. He managed our successful sale to Hg in 2016, and continues to lead the business through a period of high organic growth and Mergers and Acquisition activity. Chris is also a believer that our success has been built on creating an environment which gives ambitious, forward-thinking people the opportunity to thrive.

Eloise joined The Citation Group in early 2017 having held senior finance roles in blue chip businesses like AstraZeneca, Tesco and McCann Worldgroup. Her focus is driving shareholder value from growth and investment, while optimising profitability and cash generation. Eloise’s vision is to develop a best-in-class finance function that gives invaluable, proactive support to a growing business in both strategic and operational plans.

Mark joined The Citation Group in 2021 to further drive the value we bring to clients and all stakeholders through our acquisition and partnerships activity. Mark has spent 20+ years delivering transformational growth in new markets through M&A. Previously worked at CPA Global delivering a £1bn+ acquisition programme which expanded the business across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia and established a number of new product lines, including a core information services capability. Earlier in his career, Mark led strategy consulting engagements for McKinsey & Co, was a private equity investor at The Carlyle Group, and was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Cazenove. Mark has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Harvard University, USA.

Nic joined The Citation Group in 2021 to transform our Technology and Product strategy. Nic has spent the last 20+ years helping clients use technology to automate marketing & customer communication processes. Previously working at Communisis and Authenticate as CTO, leading strategy, solutions and product. He is passionate about creating the right environment and culture for true innovation and transformation. Nic also has a PhD in Archaeology, Geophysics and Neural Networks.

Linda joined The Citation Group in 2013 during a time of significant change. With two decades of operational and strategic HR experience in businesses like Gala Coral Group, Anchor Trust and Northern Foods, she has been instrumental in building a culture of high performance at Citation. She believes that if you get your people strategy right, customer success and company returns will follow, something proven by being recognised in ‘The Sunday Times Best Places to Work’ four times.

Peter joined The Citation Group in 2014, tasked with boosting new business and existing client revenue, key sector development and leveraging our cross-sell capability. Prior to that, he spent 15 years building sales and marketing teams in fast-paced B2B professional services and staffing markets. As Chief Revenue Officer, he now oversees the development of the commercial aspects of creating new sales and account development opportunities that enhance service offerings and provide value to all stakeholders.

As Group Product Director, Rosie is responsible for developing our global client proposition. Her vision is to continue developing products that meet clients’ needs and drive real value, while also ensuring that we maximise new business and the client experience.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience to The Citation Group, having joined in 2015. A 30+ year career that kicked off in marketing. Previously held Chief Marketing Officer and Global Brand Director roles for LateRooms. Andrew later took on the role of Managing Director for AsiaRooms, showcasing his adept leadership in the global market. Andrew has held several leadership roles at Citation, now leading Genesis Division in the UK, where he plays a pivotal role in propelling our growth. ECI buys Citation to support growth plan

ECI buys a majority stake in Citation Ltd, supporting ambitious growth plans. Chris Morris appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Linda Jodrell as the Chief People Officer.

Citation acquires QMS expanding offering

First acquisition made – QMS International, a UK leading accredited ISO certification organisation. Citation moves to a bigger office in Wilmslow, Cheshire and named as a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer for the first time. Peter Sherlock appointed to the Executive team as Commercial Director.

Hg buys Citation following double digit growth

Citation bought by Hg for £185m – having more than tripled its client base and doubled its revenue since 2012. Citation named in The Sunday Times Top 100 employer list for a second year running, rising an impressive nine places.

Citation appoints Eloise Wann as CFO

Two further acquisitions made by Citation, bringing in electrical safety specialists P&R Safety and EPM, who provide expert HR and compliance services to the education sector. Eloise Wann appointed as the Group Chief Financial Officer to the Executive team.

Further expansion into micro, SSIP and Fire Safety

Citation makes three key strategic acquisitions, welcoming HS Direct for HR & H&S solutions for the micro end of the UK market, as well as Smas Worksafe for SSIP accreditation and membership services, and Safety Management UK for Fire Safety specialist services.

Citation launches new specialist Food division

Three more acquisitions join Citation to enhance the offering and support for clients and widen sector appeal. Citation integrates Avec and Southalls into the compliance division and Food Alert.

KKR buy Citation with reinvestment from Hg

Bought by KKR and receives reinvestment from Hg, marking a significant step in Citation’s strategic growth plan. Named for the third time in The Sunday Times Top 100 list. Two further acquisitions completed, with iHasco e-learning and Xact HR and H&S solutions targeting key sectors.

Citation makes first international acquisition in Australia and New Zealand

First international acquisition welcomes FCB Group, a leading provider of HR & Employment Law advice in Australia and New Zealand. Ongoing expansion in the UK welcomes ELAS, providers of specialist Occupational Health services. Exciting senior appointments to the Citation Executive team – Mark Best, Chief Corporate Development Officer and Nic Sheen, Chief Technology & Product Officer.

More overseas growth in Australia, plus product expansion in the UK

Citation further expands its product offering for UK SMEs by acquiring uCheck, the UK’s leading background screening service and platform, Mitigate Cyber, expert cybersecurity specialists, and Surefoot Solutions to integrate into the Food Division. Yet more overseas growth in Australia with Best Practice, a leading certification provider.

Global expansion continues into Canada, hitting 120,000 clients

First exciting move into Canada, acquiring HRdownloads. Global absence management software acquired with Timetastic and further expansion into background screening and health & care sector with Disclosure Services and QuiqSolutions. Citation named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for a fourth time.
