The Citation Group launch a Sustainability hub to support small and medium sized businesses
To mark World Environment Day on 5 June, global compliance specialists The Citation Group have launched a Sustainability Hub to make ESG accessible for businesses they work with. The Hub sits in their online compliance platform, Atlas, and will make it easier for their customers to understand and, engage with this complex topic.
The user-friendly platform provides SMBs with a plethora of free resources and information to explain ESG in simple terms. It also offers a free sustainability self-assessment to measure their current performance across three key areas of People, Planet and Process, followed by a comprehensive report full of practical steps to improve the way they engage with sustainability.
This is the first phase of The Citation Group’s mission to help build better businesses to build a better world. Their next step with their ESG proposition includes introducing intelligent sustainability ratings and customised suggestions for SMBs to help them take control of their ESG journey, with ambitions for services like carbon reporting also in the works.
The Citation Group’s ESG strategy is woven into everything they do, with specific targets over five key areas: Management & Governance, Climate, Colleagues, Data and Client Impact. The Citation Group has also signed up for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to show their commitment to the environment and has developed a plan to achieve net-zero emissions by 2035.
Rosie Jackson, Group Product Director of The Citation Group, said:
“One of the aims of our Product strategy is to enable the businesses we work with to make progress on sustainability. Over 80% of consumers seek out companies that are environmentally and socially responsible, so want to make sure that our clients can stay one step ahead. With 90% of global businesses being SMEs, they really are the often-forgotten driving force behind creating a more sustainable, productive, and efficient future.”
Nic Sheen, Chief Technology & Product Officer of The Citation Group, added:
“The Sustainability Hub is not about reinventing the wheel. It’s about bringing together a trusted, accessible bank of sustainability knowledge, so they can make informed choices and build a sustainable future.”
